I have had laser hair removal done on my underarms, forearms, and face. It took 4-5 treatments over the course of a year. My skin is very fair and the hair is very dark. The hair on the face is particularly hard to remove (takes more treatments) but if you stick with it, it does work. You have to be careful about sun exposure right before you have it done, because the laser can cause something called hyperpigmentation. I did get some on my left forearm (because of sun exposure received from driving) that disappeared, but comes back with prolonged sun exposure. The hair did grow back, but it is white and extremely fine. The laser does not work on blond or gray hair or dark skin. I would highly recommend getting it done, as I haven't had to shave my armpits in over 6 years. Very liberating!!!
How permanent is laser hair removal - anyone had this done?
I am currently in the process, and so far it is great! I have 5 more sessions, and then my hair will be gone forever! It does not hurt, and it makes me feel so much better. It is a little expensive, but there are options out there, and it is worth it to me!

my stepmoms dun it, you dont just goe once and its gone, you have like 8 sessions and each time it reduces your hair. But I've hear that if you do your underarms, your at a greater risk for breast/chest cancer, so be careful!
