What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

There seems to be a very popular trend for women to remove all their pubic hair. I'm wondering why???

Also, I'm wondering what women who are getting laser hair removal (or any other permanent removal) down there will do when it becomes trendy to have pubic hair.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

It's more comfortable, looks better, and gives a little more sensitivity during sex. As for bushy becoming trendy we'll cross that bridge when we get there - I really don't think that this is caused by trends it's more like girls share with each other and some girls may be inspired to try this if they haven't but overall we're not shaving our crotches because everyone's doing it, we're doing it cuz it's what we want for out crotches.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

Is it because women hanker to look like prepubescent girls to attract their men, encouraging paedophiles. Or is it women hiding how they really are. Report It

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

Men do it too, Its not a fad its just a way of keeping your self clean shaven and that way you can prevent like crabs and stuff better for one thing if their was the chance and it is alot easier to clean.plus i think it is unattractive to have a bush growing off you private parts.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

Hair is a manly trait, most people don't like masculine women.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

Many women do it as they feel it makes them look and feel better clean-shaven. Some also do it as the hair can be coarse and make you itchy, especially during the summertime when you sweat a lot.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

So you won't get "carpet" fibers between your teeth when you're workin down there. Personally, I prefer things a little more natural. Trimmed is nice but not bald please.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

I think a lot of guys don't like hair down there or at least not a lot that's why I shave. Usually when you get laser hair removal done, it is not the whole pubic region, so there is still hair. Also, I don't think it would matter if is came back in style, because it's not like everyone sees that area.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

Its more comfortable and most men dont like hair.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

I've trimmed since WAY before it was trendy, I just like the look and feel better. Sometimes I shave all the way, sometimes just keep it trim. But I don't think I'll ever let it get "bushy". I prefer men to at least be trimmed too... in this society it's a basic hygeine issue.

What's the deal with women removing all their pubic hair?

because Mr Caveman, we're not your cavewoman

Women to answer only, please: A question about laser hair removal?

Do you think I should get laser hair removal for my nether regions?? I mean...I want to get it ALL permanently removed. Perhaps I'd keep a landing strip there so I'd have SOMETHING at least.

Anyways, currently I have to shave or wax (um, oww!) like once a week at least, and I hate it. You know how time consuming it is!

Well, my sister says it just wouldn't be natural and that my body won't be young and beautiful (hey, her words- not mine!) forever...

I don't know if I should do it or not...it IS permanent process!

Help! What do you think?? Would you do it for ALL your hair down there??

Women to answer only, please: A question about laser hair removal?

Laser Hair Removal is painful and a pain. I would only get it for areas that really need permanent removal. Some of the bikini area should be done - the stray areas that will always show when you are wearing a swimsuit, etc. But the rest leave and deal with it by shaving or waxing. You never know when you want to change your mind...Don't do anything drastic that is going to be permanent.

Women to answer only, please: A question about laser hair removal?

I would get it removed permanently, because that hair has no purpose.

Women to answer only, please: A question about laser hair removal?

........yeap

Women to answer only, please: A question about laser hair removal?

Don't get it all removed. I like a woman to look like a grown woman.

Should I continue waxing or get laser hair removal?

I like the results of waxing because it doesn't leave any patchy spots. And I like to tan, which you can't do with laser hair removal. But with waxing, you can't shave in between, because you have to let it grow a bit. With laser, I'll have to wait a year for good results, and it's not really guaranteed anyway. But with laser, the results could be permanent. Obviously laser is much more expensive, but if results are permanent, then it might be worth it. But if they're not, I'd be upset.

Anyway have experiences they can share that will help me make a decision.

Should I continue waxing or get laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal works extremely well on the bikini area and you would probably need 4-6 Tx. You can actually tan just not 2 weeks before a treatment. I had the laser treatment and it was permanent and I am very happy. The attached site has more info.

Should I continue waxing or get laser hair removal?

haha I just answered another question with almost the same response.

Well, laser is tricky, you can never say it will get rid of the hair 100% because theres a lot of factors that are involved like your hair type and how it reacts to certain lasers and the different lasers they use.

I used to have the same problem with waxing but I bought this thing called an epilator and it looks like an electric razor but it uses a row of tweezers to get rid of hair from the root, so its like waxing but without the mess and you can use it on even stubble.

I usually wax, and then when the hairs start to grow in I will epilate them and that gets the job done.

You can usually find epilators at bed bath and beyond but i'll provide this link for you anyways

Hypopigmentation after laser hair removal?

I recently had laser hair removal done by a dermatologist; on my fourth or fifth treatment, because my skin was slightly tan, I received burns all over the area with very superficial brown scarring (like a very, very thin scab). The brown areas are now peeling off and the skin underneath is normal texture, but is very very light (not pink). Is this just regeneration of the skin, or could it be permanent hypopigmentation? Will the color eventually blend in with the rest of my skin? I've been applying aquaphor twice daily. Thanks for the help.

Hypopigmentation after laser hair removal?

I have had laser removal and havent experienced that. but I only had it 3 times, each time he cooled the area with ice before lasering and I think thats what stopped it from leaving any type of irritation. you should ask your doctor about it-it doesnt sound normal.

Hypopigmentation after laser hair removal?

The source below discusses laser hair removal.

How Long Until an Ultimate Solution to Hair Removal is Invented?

How long do you think it will take before the ultimate form of hair removal is invented? By ultimate I mean one that costs less than 500$, is permanent, painless, and can be done by yourself? This is just a fun topic. Technology is quickly evolving, so I'm sure the above is possible, just will take some time.

How Long Until an Ultimate Solution to Hair Removal is Invented?

Laser hair removal is generally accepted as the best form of permanent hair removal. Salon laser treatments are very expensive, but home laser hair removal kits like the Rio are available.

Laser treatments generally work best on fair skinned people with dark hair as the machine has to reliably target hairs and not your skin!

The Rio uses a safe 808nm diverging diode laser system. It can only treat 1 hair at a time whereas a salon laser machine can treat an area of about 1cm squared.

The Rio is made in the U.K and costs the equivalent of $175. Furthermore, the manufacturer is rumoured to be releasing a laser hair remover that can target multiple hairs simultaneously sometime during 2007.

Will laser hair removal show up on my medical record?

I got laser hair removal about four years ago. It was a terrible idea, in hindsight. Not only was it ineffective, but it was extremely expensive. Today, I'm embarrased to have even considered this option. I'm always railing against cosmetic surgery and superficiality, and I feel like a complete hypocrite now. (I was convinced to do it by a series of pressures I won't go into now). Anyway, will this procedure show up on my permanent medical record? Do any cosmetic procedures, for that matter? I'm worried that any future employer who checks my medical record might pre-judge me based on this, perhaps thinking I'm a vapid person. Thank you for your help!

Will laser hair removal show up on my medical record?

Since it is considered cosmetic and done at a special clinic, it would not be in your hospital medical records, not unless it was recommend by your primary care physician and a referral was given for it, or if it was done at the doctors office or hospital you go to.

Will laser hair removal show up on my medical record?

I had LHR on my neck and it worked great and was a great decision. Concerning the Tx showing up on your medical record, no it shouldn't as the practice cannont share the record with anyone unless you say it is OK. For that matter, I don't think employers can access your medical records without your consent.

Questions about laser hair removal....?????

1) If you have fine, or light brown hair, would you get burned more easily?

2) Do you know any good, reputable places in washington d.c?

3) If you get burned, would it be a permanent scar?

4) If a place is charging 100 dollars for upper lip, are they ripping me off, or is this a good place to do it?

thanks...

-nervous about laser hair removal. %26lt;3 especially the burns....

Questions about laser hair removal....?????

No, if you have fine or light brown hair it doesn't matter as they shave ur hairs b4 treatment cuz they dont want no hair on the face while doing laser as that then burns the skin, cuz they burn the hair follicle which burns the hair n if the hair is long it drops on ur skin burning or leaving a scar, which do go away, though but a while.

Also very light skinned white ppl. don't get burned compared to dark skinned ppl. bcuz the laser acts like sunlight attracting and darkening more the dark skinned ppl. which leaves dark spots sometimes when high frequency of laser is used. But ur laser specialist gives u something to put on or ask u to buy it which helps a lot and scars or dark spots totally go away.

And I don't live in WA. DC so I don't know any good places but you should visit more then a few places to compare pricing and the way they perform their treatment. Nowadays, every place perform a small test area to tell you how its like on ur first consultation.

I think they should take $70 to $80 cuz almost every place here where i live takes almost $300 for sideburns and chin.

I hope this helps..........

Best of luck.........

Questions about laser hair removal....?????

well i was watching the today show %26amp; they have a tool you can put over the removal-laser so it doesn't hurt... %26amp; $100 doesn't sound bad.... last time i heard it was like $2 a hair.

I'm getting laser hair removal done on my bikini line & don't know how much to take of

I'm getting laser hair removal treatment done on my bikini line. I'm having trouble deciding how much hair to have removed. I'm tempted to have it all done but I'm not sure if I'll regret it later on in life seeing as the process is permanent. I'm 20 years old so I'd have it for the rest of my life. Would that be wierd to never have hair down there again? Should I only get it partially done %26amp; leave a strip or something like that or should I get it all removed? I've asked a few of my friends %26amp; a guy friend but it's kind of an awkward subject to bring up.

Men %26amp; Women's opinion please!

Men: what would you prefer on your girlfriend/wife? FOREVER!

Women: what would you want for the rest of your life? Would it be wierd to never have hair down there again?

I'm getting laser hair removal done on my bikini line %26amp; don't know how much to take off! HELP!?

Just do what you like it doesnt matter what others say.

I'm getting laser hair removal done on my bikini line %26amp; don't know how much to take off! HELP!?

I would probably take off whatever was peeking out of my swimsuit for sure, and then some extra so that the remaining bush shape looked tidy.

But if you're interested in having guys go down on you more often, have more taken off, and go for the 'landing strip' look.

LASER HAIR REMOVALLLLLLLLLLLLLhelp?

would you rather have a wife or girlfriend have hair down there or have a permanent laser hair removal?.. just wondering

LASER HAIR REMOVALLLLLLLLLLLLLhelp?

if i were a guy i would want one with hair. a girls hair is everything to us ladys. imagine you without hair..... not so pretty is it?!

Is laser hair removal worth it? How long does it last?

I am interested in doing laser hair removal for my bikini area. I was wondering after the 5-6 visit treatment how "permanent" it really is. Do you have to go in for maintenance? How much does it usually cost? Do you think it is worth it?

Is laser hair removal worth it? How long does it last?

I think the treatment is very worth it. I had it done on my neck and my wife had her bikini and underarms done. The results were great and I have been hair free for 6 years. For the bikini area, it depends if you get a full brazilian or just a partial. The cost can be between $800 and $1600 for 6 treatments. Make sure you go to someone who is good and who is using the latest equipment. The second site below, www.SignatureForum.com, ranks providers according to customer experiences.

Is laser hair removal worth it? How long does it last?

One generally speaks of extended periods of hair removal, with a decrease in the amount of hair and in their diameter. Thus, after each session and according to the area of the body involved, one can notice increasingly long periods in-between hair removal sessions (4-6 weeks at the beginning and several months after some sessions). On the whole and after several sessions, hair removal is virtually complete. The price can vary between $100-$600, and for a bikini area would probably be between $150-$300. Whether or not it's worth it is your decision. Do you like shaving every time you go out to the beach? Completely up to you!

Is laser hair removal worth it? How long does it last?

its worth it if you have the money but consider the side effects aswell and get info before anything

Is laser hair removal worth it? How long does it last?

If your skin is light and your hair is dark, you're a great candidtae for a successful treatment, but light hair/light skin or dark hair on dark skin don't provide enough contrast for the laser to work effectively.

Is laser hair removal worth it? How long does it last?

i had it done for my legs and underarms and its wonderful.

Took about six treatments, well worth it to me.

it has been a year and no regrowth so far.

binkini is next project!

Is laser hair removal worth it? How long does it last?

I've done it. It is permanent. Hair that gets zapped away is gone forever but each strand of hair grows at different rates, that's why you need multiple sessions, spaced apart.

Is laser hair removal worth it? How long does it last?

Well, I speak from experience that this is NOT permanent. Even after I had the series of eight treatments, the hair still came back ARGGGHHH - what a waste of money. It didn't even grow back finer like they said it would. It came back just as coarse as it ever was. It did take longer to grow back, but it still came back nonetheless.

Sorry - I would say don't waste your money, go for a wax instead.

Hair removal....?

what options of facial hair removal are there? i have tried waxing but that hurt way too much. i have also tried with that derma blade...that only lasts about 2 weeks. is there any permanent, painless, inexpensive way?

Hair removal....?

try surgi-cream its not permanent but it lasts for a few weeks and its painless. You can get it at any drug store, its a cream you put it on the hair and a few minutes later you wipe it off and the hair is gone. It works great =)

Hair removal....?

not unless you burn it off but never try.

Hair removal....?

electrolysis

Hair removal....?

you can try laser hair removal. I think it should be permanent.

Hair removal....?

There is always Lazar treatments it is the only thing that is permanent.

Hair removal....?

Try http://www.hairstylesdesign.com/hair_pro... you might find your answer!

Hair removal....?

HI! I understand exactly where you are coming from. Unfortunately I don't think there is anything that is permanent AND inexpensive. Your options are either laser surgery (expensive) or hair removal creams(less expensive). I tried Revitol hair remover cream and it works out great for me. Try it you might be suprised by the results.

Need advice with hair removal for face!?

Okay, I'm a 25 year old guy who absolutely HATES his facial hair. Seriously, I hate it and want it gone. I am of course aware of the permanent methods such as electrolysis and laser treatments, however I'm a poor college student so those aren't really an option right now.

I shave daily each morning, and sometimes by evening some of the hair has returned. Is there anything I can do? I've tried nair and similar depiliatories but they never last very long either - rarely more then a day or two.

I know there are many products on the store shelves related to hair removal, but am not sure which ones would be safe (for a guy), let alone effective.

Any advice? I'm willing to try almost any sugar, wax, whatever is on the market - that I can easily obtain at the local drugstore, of course.

Need advice with hair removal for face!?

For your level of facial hair, I'd suggest laser hair removal. I hate shaving, and had it done on my armpits and bikini line. It was very inexpensive at $100 for 5 treatments with a coupon I had (I've had 3 treatments so far). You'll end up spending way more than that over time on waxes, creams, etc., so it's worth paying for. It'll drastically cut down on the frequency of at home hair removal. I totally understand your frustration - I'm glad I'm not a guy and don't have to shave my face!

Need advice with hair removal for face!?

I think there are a few different kinds of treatments that are classified under the laser hair removal label. The kind I got was super cheap, but seemed to slow the growth and make it lighter as opposed to completely removing it forever. Good luck! Report It

Need advice with hair removal for face!?

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://www.hairremoval.in

Pemanent hair removal?

I would really like to remove unwanted hair permanently at home. I have tried electrolysis and laser hair removal. None seem to have worked. Can anyone suggest one that has worked wonders for them and is actually permanent. thank you

Pemanent hair removal?

I would say the permanent way would be Electrolosis. you did say, none seem to have worked. Maybe you didnt persist long enough in you anxiousness to be smooth.

It doesn't work just like that though as I'm sure the girls will agree. When you remove the hairs, they WILL grow back, though allegedly finer and finer etc.

I am not a beautician

Pemanent hair removal?

I'm not female either so how can I be the best answer? Thanks anyway. Report It

Pemanent hair removal?

You really can't remove hair permanently at home, only temporary. I'm a little confused why electrolysis and laser hasn't worked for you unless you only have had one treatment. I think it's a common misconception that one treatment will rid of the hair permanently. However, there are many factors that determine how your skin and hair will react to the treatment.

If your skin tone is medium or dark, the laser will not work best for you. Typically those with lighter skin and darker hair have the best results. I would consult with a dermatologist on which treatment is best for you skin and hair color.

I went for two laser treatments on my legs and it did stop half of my hair from growing back. The other half is growing in thinner but I'd have to go in for probably 2-3 more treatments to see permanent results. You can also do a waxing at home with prewaxed strips like the ones Veet makes or you can buy a epilator which painfully yanks out your hair.

Pemanent hair removal?

and y do u want to get rid of those hairs, electrolysis or other method did not work cos u look bst wit those hairs, they er natural aren't they? so y do u want to get rid of them, tink twice

pretty.

Pemanent hair removal?

Laser hair removal works best on fair skinned people with dark hair, but it remains the single most effective way to kill hair from the follicle. Most people have a couple of laser hair removal sessions then decide its not working and give up. I get the feeling that this is more to do with the cost of laser than the effectiveness of the method.

There are home laser hair removal kits available like the Rio that use safe 808nm diverging diode based laser systems. They are basically the same as salon lasers apart from the fact that they can only treat one hair at a time whereas salon lasers can treat an area about 1cm squared.

The great thing about a home laser hair removal kit is that you can treat the same hair multiple times, until they are dead, without breaking the bank. Its a one off investment.

Laser hair removal may work for you and it genuinely may not, but you don't need to spend thousands to find out.

You may also want to weaken the hair by using a hair minimiser like Kalo. It definitely makes the hair grow back softer and finer. this in itself should make hair removal easier and laser hair removal more effective. However, you do need to use it regularly for a couple of months to see any real benefit.

In my opinion, I believe about 30-40 years since we've already gone from razors in the 50's to waxing and the dawn of laser hair removal.

Did lazer Hair removal actually work for you, or you having the same problem as me??

So I have spent probably almost $2,000 on lazer hair removal I have dark hair and light skin which lazer is suppose to work the best on.......but none of my hair went away sadly=( and I went probably 25 times! Any suggestions, I wax but need a permanent fix! Also Can I do any medical procedures while being pregnant?

Did lazer Hair removal actually work for you, or you having the same problem as me??

Bummer, it sounds like you are a good candidate. Were they using a good laser?

The site http://www.hairRemovalForum.com may have more info for you.

Good luck.

Did lazer Hair removal actually work for you, or you having the same problem as me??

That's awful! None of it went away? I started noticing a difference with my first treatment! I still have a lot of treatments to go, though. It will probably be about 20 treatments by the time I'm done. What do the aestheticians say about that? I would discuss a refund with them, that's not right. I wonder if they did it correctly.

Did lazer Hair removal actually work for you, or you having the same problem as me??

I am currently doing laser treatments for my bikini (full) and I have had 6 treatments so far and it has been working fantastically. No, you cannot have these treatments when you are pregnant, they should ask you every time you go in, that's what my clinic did and I had to sign a waver saying that I wasn't.

Did lazer Hair removal actually work for you, or you having the same problem as me??

I would ask for my Money back...... You should have seen results by now...

Did lazer Hair removal actually work for you, or you having the same problem as me??

Sorry. Not of all of it supposed to go actually none of it is supposed to go, sorry if someone told you that! I have my own salon and that isnt how it works! It is supposed to lighten the hair so it is less obvious not get rid of the hair so if the hair has got lighter then it has worked but if it hasnt then i am sorry but you have spent all that money for nothing. I hope you went to a proper place.

Hair removal for honeymoon?

what is a good way to get rid of hair (without waxing, shaving etc) for my honeymoon in Oct? i'd like to get rid of bikini area, and maybe legs too. doesn't have to be fully permanent, just longer lasting then shaving and not too painful. do those lotions or creams that say they remove the hair work? i've looked into laser removal and been told it wont work because my hair is red and so is the laser. any ideas?

Hair removal for honeymoon?

A dipilatory such as neet or nair works try a sensitive skin one or do a test a while before the wedding. You would hate to break out on your honeymoon. Don't scratch or irritate area 24 hours before use.

Hair removal for honeymoon?

Depolitory Creams last about 4 days and they aren't painful.

Hair removal for honeymoon?

Laser is good source but i thik it is not permanent. So try to remove these in natural way mean on weekly basis, in this way u remain healthy , Good luck for honey moon , and also pray that we also have a such trip. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what will be a classic trip it will be

Hair removal for honeymoon?

I can't wait to get married... Anybody wants to marry me here?

Hair removal for honeymoon?

What in the world did that guy just say?

Ummm, if you don't want to shave or wax then you don't have many options now do you? What's the question? Lotion/Cream yeah that's all you have left to choose from.

Hair removal for honeymoon?

Some of the lotions or creams burn, like Nair for example. Waxing would be your best way to go. Shaving will make the hair grow back faster. With waxing, the hair will stay away for a while, and then it will slowly start to come back later.

Hope this helps!

Hair removal for honeymoon?

lotions do remove the hair..but a prolonged use might blacken ur skin... best is got a gillette woman razor.... a shave those long legs

Hair removal for honeymoon?

the best way is waxing or sugaring.. though it's painful a bit, it's veryyyy effective and you don't have to do hair removal untill 4 weeks later. the best thing is to go to a professional beautician becuz she will minimize the pain alot using correct techniques of hair removal..

Hair removal for honeymoon?

Waxing is painful yes, but it is probably the only way you can deal with it. There is many hair removing lotions and creams around, but these don't usually last long, and waxing can last a very long time. Your other option is to purchase Hair Removal Spray, which is effective but not reliable and only lasts a short while. I think your only answer is to go with waxing.

Hair removal for honeymoon?

well if you aren't gonna shave or wax, not too many other options. hair removing creams don't work that well and you don't want to get them too close to certain parts. just shave or wax. if you wax, pay to have it done. it might hurt but pain makes your stronger.

Hair removal for honeymoon?

Creams are cool. It's a good option.

Hair removal for honeymoon?

Waxing is great if your skin isn't sensitive. I love the effect and how long it lasts but I can't use it down there because it breaks me out badly. The lotions work alright they just don't remove all of the hair.

Hair removal?????????

you see i have a lot of hair on my arms and legs and chest. i want to not remove it all completely, but rather decrease it and i'd like it to be permanent. is that possible or do just have to get a complete removal?

Hair removal?????????

Lasar Hair Removel

Hair removal?????????

Over time, waxing will make the hair appear finer and sparser. Get a waxing once a month for several months and your hair will appear finer and less noticeable. It will reduce the appearance of hair growth by 50%. I've used this method, and it's very inexpensive yet gives good results.

Hair removal?????????

LASER hair removal may be best suited for those who have dark hair on light skin, but before you rule yourself out as a candidate for this procedure, it is advisable to consult your dermatologist. Also collect as much relevant information regarding the procedure, either from the manufacturers or from their websites. Alternatives are always present, if you have light color hair, it is better to undergo artificial hair darkening which can be succeeded by LASER.

Does laser hair removal really work?

I am really frustrated with shaving and of course waxing got to be just painful..so i was wondering anybody who has experience in the field of laser hair removal?? would the result be satisfying?? Is it going to be permanent??

Does laser hair removal really work?

If you're interested in finding out about laser hair removal treatments in general, how long the procedures usually last and side effects, and a list of advertisers giving free consultations and advice about the procedures, check here. There's some pretty good info:

Does laser hair removal really work?

Yes, it does work, but also expensive. The easiest way to manage unwanted hair is to shave it.

Does laser hair removal really work?

YES

Does laser hair removal really work?

Yes, it is permanent. BUT, it is also expensive and i can't say the result is satisfying cuz--it depends on the condition of your hair.

Does laser hair removal really work?

Bet you.It will work but it is very expensive and permenant. My advice to u is to not use that stuff.

Does laser hair removal really work?

I had laser hair removal 6 years ago and had great results. Make sure you go to an experienced practitioner who is using good equipment. Some people do not get results because they go to someone who has no idea what they are doing and the equipment is not very effective. The attached site has a list of providers and more information. If a provider receives bad customer survey scores from previous customers, they are dropped from the site.

Does laser hair removal really work?

I have had eight laser hair removal treatments. I have seen around 75% effectiveness so far. Each time it has been more and more effective. I am currently pretty satisfied with the treatments. I believe that after my tenth treatment I will only have to come back in once every two or three years. I started with a lot of dark hair and a medium complexion though. I would say that the lighter hairs take more treatments.

I don't do it through an MD. You don't have to do it with an MD and it is cheaper. You can get numbing cream prescribed from your doctor and it cost five bucks a tube. I had laser done a few years ago and it wasn't all that affective. They used a diode laser. I'm sure that there have been advancements in diode lasers since I had it done years ago, but the treatments I have been recieving over the last year are with an alexandrite laser.

Laser hair removal treatment TOMORROW. please help~?

I went to see the doc today for upper lip hair treatment (laser, permanent)

and he says 4-6 treatment total, once every 4 weeks and I will be spending about $800-1000 (for multiple treatments)

But the doc says

"IT MIGHT WORK"

"hair is too fine"

"50% chance for regrowth"

etc...

Why would i spend so much money, time, and effort if it is only "might work"?

I made an appointment for the first treatment tomorrow anyway, but now I am not sure if I really want to. please help...

by the way, hair on my face, upper lip, is very fine, i never shave or pluck. I can hide somehow with my make-up but I am afraid it starts showing more than before as I am getting older. I really want to get rid of it!

Thanks

Hair removal...?

Just after some opinions on body hair removal - legs, bikini, etc.

I've been shaving for a few years now, but for the past year or so, shaving has left me really uncomfortable, and I always get an awful red rash - not good during the Summer :(

I tried using various moisturisers for sensitive skin, aloe gel etc. after shaving, but they make no difference.

Tried waxing, but it was so damn painful!

I was wondering if and how laser hair removal works. How much does it cost? (UK) How permanent is it? And is it worth buying a lasering kit from, say, Argos, or going to a salon to get it done professionally?

And also, for people who prefer waxing, do you have any tried and trusted methods of making it hurt a bit less?

Thanks guys :)

Hair removal...?

I am an esthetician have been doing hair removal for bout 7yrs. Everybody's pain tolerance is different. The first time is always the worst! Make sure the esthetician is not taking huge pieces at a time. For instance on your bikini a little at a time. Tell the receptionist its your 1st time and have her allow more time for the esthetician. Most won't mind. You want your client to feel comfortable with you. Also once you start to wax your hair will grow in thinner, sparser, and it won't hurt as bad.Give it a few times. It's well worth it No bumps or razor burn. And it looks great! You'll never want to pick up a razor again.

Hair removal...?

Nads

Hair removal...?

Nair tends to give me rashes and burn a lot, but Veet is really good and sensitive on the skin. I highly recommend it. It is easy to use, and very affective.

Hair removal...?

i have the exact same problem when i shave, so hair removal creams sem to be the best, i also find veet to be the best.

you can always get an epilator, but it would be very sore, but the results last longer.

Hair Removal: Temporary and Permanent Solution

http://www.askaquery.com/Answers/qn1664....

How effective is laser hair removal?

I've been looking into laser hair removal for some time now. I'm a seemingly perfect candidate with having light skin and dark hair.

But how effective is laser hair removal? I mean is it REALLY permanent? Also, how much does it cost and how many treatments are needed usually?

Thanks in advance everyone. I really appreciate it. :)

How effective is laser hair removal?

I had it done over 6 years ago and the hair is still gone. My wife had it done on her bikini line and undearms at the same time. She probably has about 10% regrowth that occurred when she was going through her pregnancies and had hormone changes.

Prices are generally between $75 and $500 per treatment depending on the size of the area. The site http://www.HairRemovalForum.com has a good list of providers and if you call 888.517.4187 they can give you pricing for locations around the country.

How effective is laser hair removal?

The best thing you can do is check your local OB/GYN office or dermatologist office to seek info on hair removal. Also, some websites online can tell you where to find a local place that performs the laser treatments. The cost varies on the area you live in. I am currently getting laser treatments on my face. It is working GREAT!! You notice results in as little as a week after the first treatment. I paid $175.00 per treatment in the area I live, northeast Indiana. It is better to get it done on a weekend, your face tends to be red for a few days. You can wear make-up and everything else. Also, make sure you buy a moisturizer for your face and even a calming booster or something along that line. Hope this helps, any other questions feel free to email me. Below is a site that can help you research.

Laser Hair Removal?!?

okay so me and my friend Mandy where thinking of going to urban body lazer to remove the hair on our legs. we're tottaly tired of waxing. but we don't want to shave. so my question is: is lazer hair removal a good idea? is it permanent? (remember we're getting it at urban body lazer) TY! ;)

Laser Hair Removal?!?

well waxing is painful so I don't understand why you would do that in the first place %26amp; laser hair removal can damage your skin, it makes your skin extremely sensitive to the touch for a few days %26amp; just like everything else, they may miss a spot and you'll still have hair growing there, plus is expensive, you should try nair, you just put it on like lotion thickly %26amp; wipe it off after 3 short mins. after you use it a few times your hair does'nt even grow back. but the first time it may take a week or a week and a half for your hair to show back up.

Hair Removal?

Hey um i was wondering if wen u get laser hair removal if like you can have a reaction or get INGROWN hairs. because i like used Nair on my back (my back isnt tremendously hairy, just a little..) %26amp; like i think im having an allergic reaction because i have a whole bunch of bumps on my back!!! Im wondering if its an allergy or ingrown hairs...i want to know this because wen im a little older i want to try laser hair removal...and i dont want permanent reactions. so any experts on this PLEASE HELP!!!

Hair Removal?

don't worry if u do get any reactions to laser they wont be permanent. I know alot of people that got laser removal. they get bumps for like 2 days and then they go away!! DONT WORRY

Hair Removal?

i was actually looking into laser hair removal too-- how long have you had the bumps?? if they've been there for more than a week or two, then it's in-grown hairs... if it's only been a day or two then its probably just a reaction and will go away soon enough. with laser hair removal, apparently you won't ever get in-grown hairs. if you DO get ingrown hairs from shaving/whatever you do, DONT SCRATCH AT THEM to get them out... just exfoliate in the shower and i would put al ittle zit cream to make sure it doesn't get infected or something. soon enough it'll start to come out on its own enough for you to pull it. IF you DO scratch at it, you'll get a scab and probably SCAR. that's what happened to me.... it sucks.

Hair Removal?

Although there are no side effects of laser hair removal you can go for it. However if you like to try an alternate option you can try hair removal cream by Alba Botanica can be found at http://www.herbmark.com/p6923/mango-vani...

Hair color removal?

Besides using a hair color stripper, is there a fast way to "wash out" semi-permanent hair color? I used Natural Instict black and it's just too dark! I was going for dark, dark brown and thought if I used black and didn't leave it on as long I would get that... um... that's not what happened. It's not horrible, I just don't like it on me. I had a feeling it would be too dark and that's why a chose a semi-perm color, but black is, well, black and I don't see this fading anytime soon. I was wondering if there were any home remidies that might speed the process up?

Hair color removal?

hey there's one they sell at walmart that removes all unnatural hair color :) it costs about 7 or 8 bucks.

Hair color removal?

if you just did it they sell a product called color oops (i think thats the name) at the drugstore or walmart

Hair color removal?

anything thats not acidic apparently works.

Also dish washing liquid i heard.

But ive never tried any of it.

Maybe just wash your hair 6 times a day or whenever until it fades.

Hair color removal?

Rinse your hair with vinegar it will lighten it up.

Hair color removal?

I've heard joy dish washing liquid will wash out semi-perm color, and will take the red out when you dye your hair blonde, and it gets too brassy....never tried it, but hope it helps.....hey its worth a try, joy cost about $1.00. Good luck!!

Hair color removal?

maybe u could use a wig or the hair spray you use on trick-or-treating but thats all i got i dont die my hair

Who has experienced lazer hair removal?

I am thinking about having facial hair lazer removal and would like to know if anyone has had a negative experience or side effects. Does it cause skin dryness or wrinkles, does it work. Does it remove all the hair? Is it permanent? Thank you all

Who has experienced lazer hair removal?

I'm in the process of getting my bikini area done, and so far, so good. No side effects, a little bit of pain, nothing that can't be handled. A lot less painful than waxing. I don't know if it causes dryness, but they do tell you to put on some lotion afterwards, probably just to keep the area moisturized as I imagine it would dry out the skin somewhat. It is permanent, but since your hair grows in cycles, some will be dormant when you go for your treatments, and so it'll take about 6 treatments, (for me, about a year) to be hair free. And once a hair is lasered, another will never grow from the follicle again. So it is permanent, it'll just take a while.

I'd say make an appointment for a consultation, they're generally free, and they can answer all your questions and concerns. Just know that the treatment works best on dark, coarse hair, and will not work on blonde, grey or very fine hair. There may also be a problem if you're dark skinned, with the treated area becoming lighter than the surrounding areas. But they can tell you all about that when you go.

Who has experienced lazer hair removal?

"lazer"

If you would have used spell check, you would have found it is spelled "laser"

Who has experienced lazer hair removal?

Ive had laser hair removal and can say that i have not experience any bad side effects, saying that everyones different, what works for one person might not for another. It takes a few sessions for the hair to be removed completely which can be quite expensive, but all in all laser hair removal is the better option. Waxing is another alternative which removes the hair for up to 6 weeks.

What is the effective & durable way to get rid of excess unwanted hair from face (upper lip &

Is permanent hair removal methods (like electrolysis or laser treatments) are safe to go for? Or what do you suggest for this problem?

What is the effective %26amp; durable way to get rid of excess unwanted hair from face (upper lip %26amp; chin) %26amp; legs?

Legs, shaving during the winter when they're covered and a little bit of stubble won't be seen, waxing in the summer when you need to have smooth legs every day, because shaving every day is too irritating to my skin.

Face, waxing, but it hurts.....alternatively hair removal creams, but you need to do this regularly, or bleaching, again, has to be done fairly regularly.

What is the effective %26amp; durable way to get rid of excess unwanted hair from face (upper lip %26amp; chin) %26amp; legs?

Face - waxing works great for me

Legs - Shaving!

What is the effective %26amp; durable way to get rid of excess unwanted hair from face (upper lip %26amp; chin) %26amp; legs?

Those methods are considered trustworthy, but like many simple procedures, there is always a possibility for a mistake; so make sure you do your homework on the clinic. Depending on how "bad" the problem is, simple waxing is still a good way to go.

What is the effective %26amp; durable way to get rid of excess unwanted hair from face (upper lip %26amp; chin) %26amp; legs?

Ouch to waxing my face but love to use the "Finishing Touch" shaver wand. Fast, quick, carry anywhere, discreet and good precision for shaping.

Legs; shave in the shower (always use shaving gel).

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

I want to shave but I dont want them to grow more coarse and pulling them out hurts! ): Im 15 so I cant go for any permanent hair removal thing yet... =\

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

why not try bleaching the hair so its less obvious , you can get special bleaches for facial hair

x

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

perhaps try wax. There are some pretty good solutions out there. It will be a tad more painful than shaving, but the long term effect will be much better.

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

wax on wax off....dont shave what ever you do it will just make it worse

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

keep plucking - after a little while it won't hurt at all

DO NOT SHAVE!!!

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

Do not shave them, that will make it worse. If it isn't too much pluck them with tweezors. You can buy wax or bleach kits in drug stores and Walmart. Talk to your mom. You could also go to a professional and have it waxed.....painful for a few minutes, but works. They do this at the salon where I get my hair cut and it only costs a little more.

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

the only way to do this is after you shave, take thousand islands dressing and rub it onto where your moustache was, you'll look beautiful in no time!

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

Just get a wax, and DON'T shave!

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

There is a bleach for your lip that bleachs the hair, so you can't see them. But it can burn, if you can deal with that type of thing go ahead and try it. I personally don't find it painful but a few of my friends have complained about it. You can get it at basically any store for five dollars.

Or get it waxed. Since I'm only able to do this once a month I use the bleach I mentioned.

Im a 15yr old girl and how do I remove the embarassing hair above my mouth? Help?

Unfortunately their is nothing you can do and it will get worse... much worse! Im a registered Hypofolicaltologist and from what you are describing it sounds like you have the beginning stages of a disorder that will most likely engulf your face in VARY coarse and greasy hair; but not before causing a few years worth of horribly abundant and painful acne that will disfigure you for life. Needless to say no boy (or girl) with any sense of sight or touch will go near you let alone kiss you. And lets face it, a girl that is unkissable is a barren and hollow ghoul whos only purpose in life is to fill the void inside her by the most dehumanizing, embarrassing and "unladylike" means that is sparsely available to her. My suggestion to you is to get used to heroin. It my be the only thing that will get you through the eminent misery that is before you. May god have mercy on your soul.

Best wishes

What is the best and most effective way to permanently remove unwanted hair?

I have some facial hair that I have to keep waxing and waxing often breaks me out, leaving ugly bumps and blemishes... I am now considering having them permanently removed but I am not experienced with such services, I searched the internet but it seems that most sites are out to sell their own products, however, "Finally Free" worth $100 from nevershaveagain.com seems really appealing but I am still a little skeptacle because as I mentioned before, I don't know too much about permanent hair removal... Has anyone had it done? If so, What procedure did you use? How long did it take to get the results that YOU wanted? How much did it cost you? I sincerely appreciate all your help! Thanks.

How to clean the underams, i donot want hair anymore there,?

suggestion please... tell me about permanent hair removal ways. laser etc...

How to clean the underams, i donot want hair anymore there,?

BEFORE COMMITTING TO LASER HAIR REMOVAL:

1. Find a reputable salon/clinic with properly trained staff (people with a background in nursing are the best)

2. Go for a consultation and get all the facts before you make a decision. They might do a free test for you on your arm so that you can experience the sensation (it ain't a walk in the park for some people - everyone's got a different pain threshold)

FAST FACTS:

* Laser hair removal typically requires multiple sessions (between 4 and 6 minimum) because hair grows in a cycles.

* You may be required to pay a high price PER session and then after the minimum number, you can either be put on a maintenance program (where you pay per zap) or go back to them for free treatments (pricing purely depends on the salon/clinic).

* It's fine for you to wax/shave inbetween sessions

* The laser works best on dark hair on light skin

* For fine hair (like on your upper lip), the minimum number of sessions can be up to 10

* Skin on different parts of the body has different sensitivity levels (i.e. your eyelid skin is different to the skin on your back, right?). Having your underarms lasered might be almost painless while having your bikini lasered could leaving your skin burning for a while afterwards.

* To help with the pain during the treatment, you can go to a pharmacy and get an anaesthetic cream (ask the clinic/salon to recommend a good one to you). This cream has to be applied a short time before the treatment.

THE PROCESS:

- You and the nurse/beautician will be required to wear special goggles during the procedure

- The nurse/beautician will spread a gel over the affected area.

- While using the laser, a jet blowing cold air will make the gel icy cold in order to help numb the pain once the nurse/beautician starts "firing away".

- Once treatment of the area is complete, the nurse will wipe away the gel and apply a soothing cream/lotion.

- Afterwards, you may be given a coldpack to put on the affected area to help numb any lingering pain you might experience.

BOTTOM LINE:

- The results are very much worth the pain.

- Salons tend to crank up the voltage with each session. Your first session might not hurt as much, but it will probably be more intense with each session.

- DON'T go for 1 or 2 sessions then give up ("pain" is not a reason to quit). Commit yourself to going for the minimum number of sessions (even if you decide to spread the sessions out over a longer period).

What is the best and most effective way to remove unwanted hair?

I had a friend who was addicted to laser hair removal. It started with his back hair (understandable) then his chest hair (a little weird) then his arm hair (getting creepy now). Anyway, it didnt seem to cost him too much. I started looking into it for my legs but I quickly found out that they cant do laser hair removal on blond or red hair, and all my body hair is blond or red. But I wouldnt think an upper lip wouldn't cost too much at all. A full leg is 800 dollars, give or take, so an upper lip must be much less.

What is the best and most effective way to remove unwanted hair?

Never hear dof it myself, but electrolesis I would recoment. It's plucking. With electgric tweezers. It's not instant. But it eventually kils the follicules. And it hurts like hell. At least I thought it did .But I'm a whimp. I even hurt when I shave my legs so don't mind me.

What is the best and most effective way to remove unwanted hair?

If you opt not to have the permanent removal, have you tried the hair removal sandpaper that is sold in the pharmacy? It works like a charm to remove facial hair. And doesn't seem too onerous to use every other day or so to completely erase hairs and leave the skin baby smooth. Just have to be careful to not rub hard, or you'll get a rash. Rub about 5-6 times clockwise then 5-6 times counter clockwise. The papers last a long time and are well worth the price.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

I don't want to do threading or permanent hair removal, because I want something that I can do at home.

so which method is better for facial hair, tweezing or waxing %26amp; why?

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Wax, tweezing leaves marks and irritation.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

tweeze, less painful

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Both are painful. Tweezing takes longer. Waxing doesn't, but I'd say it is more painful.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Wax. It takes WAY less time and it also lasts muchlonger. With tweezing you will have stubble, but waxing should stay for at 4-6 weeks! =)

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Waxing. It minimizes the hair growth over time and there is less risk of ingrown hairs and holes from plucking hair.

Admittedly, I pluck my stray eyebrow hairs, but there aren't many of them. And other facial hair should be waxed.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

i think girls usually wax because it takes a little bit longer for it to grow back compared to tweezing...but in my opinion, i think its better if a girl tweezes because...when you wax, it looks like a bald spot on your face, so you can see like a lighter portion on your face LOL...and it looks funny. if you tweeze it, you just pick out the long hairs so it looks normal. both will hurt, i just say tweeze it

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Eyebrows: Go to a salon for the 1st time so they can professionaly shape your brows. You can do upkeep with tweezers at home and just get them waxed once a month or so. Waxing is cheap, $5-$10.

Lip: I suggest using Sally Hansen's cream. It is painless and leaves your lip smooth. You don't have to do it very often because it grows back slowly and you will not have stubble. you can get the cream in any drugstore and it is inexpensive. Buy a small tube or it will go bad before you use it all, as it does not take much and you don't have to do it often.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

I wax my eyebrows. More painful, but it's not one by one and it's over quickly. And it last longer than tweezing. I think so anyway.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Waxing last longer but if you have dark skin or use some acne meds it can cause discoloration of the skin so you should use tweezers.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

I used to tweeze my facial hair, but up until yesterday I waxed it. My skin was so used to the tweezing, that it didn't hurt anymore than tweezing. I find that wax provides a cleaner look. They both last a really long time, but it is much easier and quicker to wax. I recommend Sally Hansen's microwaveable facial wax. You can peel the wax right off!!! I loved it!!

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Tweezing for eye brows - it's more precise.

Waxing for upper lip, etc. Parissa makes pre-cut wax strips that are very convenient %26amp; come w/ good, clear instructions.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

wax

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

tweeze becasue it is a million times less painful than waxing.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Tweezing is much more accurate. Unless you dont care if you rip off half of your eyebrow..or leave patches of hair and no hair on your face or upper lip..wax..ive seen people thet used to wax and now they have a beard growning in place where they used to wax..it takes way too much off!

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

tweeze, because it will not come back

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

definitely waxing is better, quicker, cleaner, and you only have to deal with a quick pain instead of sitting there and trying to pluck.

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

Dubyah

Should you tweeze or wax facial hair?

waxing is faster but it will make you red and you never know if youll have a reaction to the wax (my sister did) and your skin may get all bumpy and gross

tweezing takes longer, may hurt more but you can pinpoint pieces of hair easier..its up to you

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

i'm 16 and too young to get any permanent hair removal surgeries. i have so much hair on my hands and feet. what can i do. i don't want to go to a salon because its embarrasing. help please!!!!

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

I think the best thing is to go to a professional salon for your problem and get waxed. I understand it's embarassing, but remember, it's not your fault and they deal with that kind of thing ALL the time. Try calling in for your first appointment as opposed to making the appointment in person. You can also let them know you are emabarassed about your hair growth, and they will be more discreet and sympathetic. If you feel more comforatble with a man instead of a woman (or vice versa), be sure to let them know when you make your appointment. It will last up to 6 weeks. You will feel SO much better once it is done, and you don't have to worry about it nearly as often as with other methods of hair removal. It's alot harder to wax yourself, Nair smells horrible, and your risk cutting yourself whenever you shave (plus you will HAVE to shave religiously).

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

Wax at home.

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

just wax it or shave it off

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

Wax it off with Sally Wax you can buy at any drug store.

http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j...

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

use nair, it works pretty well, and even if it starts to itch, wait the full time to wash it off or it won't work

or if you don't want to do that, you can always shave it off, use a good razor though.

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

buy sally hansen body hair bleach at walmart. it works really well and it might feel better and be less noticable. i used to use this and it made the worse hair look just about invisible. i think this is your best bet while your young and might not want to wax/shave for your whole life. will it hurt to try!? =) good luck dear

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

You could always try Nair. I think you can get one that either lightens hair, or removes it without having to shave or wax. They have it at superdrug.

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

Actually most people have hair on their hands and feet. I know I do. Just go to a salon. Chances are, most of the workers there have it too. Hair on your hands and feet happens to part of genetics

I'm 16 and i have hair on my hands?

Hi! I have the same problem - thick, dark hair on my arms and hands and on my head and legs, etc. : it's all genetic because of Italian family background - and I make mine less noticeable by using hair bleach on it. Nair works really well. It lightens the hair enough that it is less noticeable and looks more natural. You can lighten it as much as you want. If you have really dark hair, after the first time of using it, it might just look lighter brown, and then a little lighter the next time, or almost blond. What I'm saying is that you may have to apply the bleach two days in a row, or leave it on longer than 7 minutes like they suggest, to get it as light as you want it - just don't leave it on longer than 10 minutes or it might irritate or even burn your skin). If your skin is really tan, though, I'm not sure if you would want to use the bleach because it might leave blotches or discoloration from bleaching areas of skin as well, or make an entire area of your skin on your arm look lighter - I can't tell too much because my skin is fair, but the skin on my arms/hands sometimes does look lighter to me after using bleach to lighten the hair.

Some others here have suggested using hair remover cream. I never meant to use this on my arms, partly because I don't like the idea of having to redo it all the time (so it doesn't look crazy with all that stubble on it!), as quickly as my hair grows back! But once, accidentally, I got some Nair Pretty (that I was using to remove leg hair) on my arm and it really worked...so I for a short time I had a little bald spot on my arm! But if your skin is sensitive, sometimes hair depilatories like Nair Pretty can give you a rash or a real burn, and you don't always know when this will happen, because it can happen even after you've used the chemical many times before, with no problems. Some of these hair removers have warnings on their containers that this can happen, and I have found it true. I've had mixed results with hair remover cream - sometimes my skin accepts it OK and sometimes it reacts to it by burning or breaking out in a rash (especially in sensitive areas), so you might want to be careful using that, or at least test it somewhere hidden, EACH time, before you try it on your arms, so you don't end up with a rash or burn on your arms. I hope this helps. I know how embarrassing that is and believe me, you are not the only one out there who has to deal with that problem.

Vagina Hair Gone For Good?

I Shave It ..

But I Want It Gone For Good !

Permanent Hair Removal ?

Good Place In The SF South Bay Area ?

Vagina Hair Gone For Good?

What's wrong with hair - soft silky hair?

Vagina Hair Gone For Good?

good question

Vagina Hair Gone For Good?

The only permanent form of hair removal seems to be done with a laser or electrolysis. The laser treatments are done over a period of weeks, the electrolysis takes quite a bit longer. They are both quite costly, and no one will actually guarantee that they are permanent, but the laser seems to be the way to go.

Back Hair!?

If I keep waxing my back, eventually will this lead to permanent hair removal?

Back Hair!?

I think it'll take years but your back hair will thin out.

I've been plucking my eyebrows for 20+ years and now that I'm trying to let them fill in they won't grow! I think they go too thinned out.

Back Hair!?

No, but electrolisis would.

Peace 閳?Happiness

Back Hair!?

I wish I had white people hair unstead of black hair. *cries* I can't stand combing it.

Back Hair!?

maybe in areas but not likely your whole back. You might just want to invest in some laser hair removal.

Back Hair!?

NO, it will just keep growing and you will still have to wax it.

OUCH!

Back Hair!?

Nope, unfortunately not.

Back Hair!?

No, the roots will just regrow, the only way is electrolist, or a cheaper way is you can set your back on fire until the skin melts over the pours lol

Back Hair!?

no. it will lead to thicker, longer hair.

Back Hair!?

nope it will just keep comming back over and over

i hate back hair too

Back Hair!?

no just get thicker and bushier, your turning into an animal

Back Hair!?

no but u can try lazer removal

Back Hair!?

But electrolosis would leave your pores open and exposed like giant holes. well maybe it depends on the person but it happened to a friend of mine, he used it on his arms first then his face and if youre a close person it would be noticed

Back Hair!?

Consistent waxing does eventually kill the hair follicles and it may come back finer...but that takes time and it won't ever go away completely. You can look into laser hair removal if you have the $$$, it does eventually work, but you can't wax in between the laser treatments.

Back Hair!?

Nope but you might end up with ingrown hairs. You'd be better off paying for lazer surgery. That way it won't grow back.

Back Hair!?

IDK I dont need to do all that crap!!!!!!!!

Back Hair!?

No, if you want it gone you should do laser hair removal. The attached site has good information and qualified providers.

http://www.HairRemovalForum.com

Back Hair!?

i have heard the more you wax it the less hair you will get. to remove it for good would need electrolysis

Back Hair!?

hair would grow slowly

Do all hair removing creams cause skin color darkening?

Use Vaniqua and a razor blade to shave hair with first, then the Vaniqua cream, which you must get from a Dr.

Facial hair removal after alopecia treatment?

I had alopecia areata (a 1 inch diameter bald patch right above my forehead, unlucky spot!) but thankfully it's all grown back now after I changed by job.

The problem is, the treatment I undertook has caused some facial hair to appear on my forehead reaching all the way down to my eyebrows, darker hair on my cheekbones and fine but dark hair like sideburns. I really hate it as I've got very fair skin and it makes me feel so self-conscious that I'm wondering if I can wax it.

The hair is supposed to fall out by itself as I've stopped the treatment, but I'm getting impatient. Will waxing it somehow make the hair "permanent"?

Thanks! :)

Facial hair removal after alopecia treatment?

It shouldn't make it permanent. Talk to your doctor about it. Did they give you a time reference for how long the excess hair would stay?

Facial hair removal after alopecia treatment?

There are many ways to achieve this goal, both traditional as well as modern. Traditional methods include waxing, shaving, plucking and electrolysis. But you need to do these methods frequently as they do not destroy the hair root but just remove the hair from superficial level.

But with the arrival of laser, everything has changed. Though this treatment may seem expensive, it turns out to be economical in the end. This treatment is carried out by focusing a laser beam with low intensity on the hair follicles. This results in the destruction of hair roots but the skin surrounding it is not affected.

Removing hair from upper lip?

I want to have permanent hair removal on my upper lip. I have an appointment next week. I wonder if anyone out there did it? How many sessions? Approx how much $$ ?

I don't have very much hair there but it bothers me, it's very light and I've never waxed or anything. I'm having it removed but would like more info..

THANX! 閳?br>Removing hair from upper lip?

My aunt paid to have this done, it is $300.00 ( I am sure the amount varies by location) and it is done in 3 different sessions, my aunt paid $600 to get her and her daughters done but after one session, they said it was so painful that they will never go back even though they already paid for it. I am sure that there are different ways to do the procedure and not all are the same but this is the only information that I know about it. best of luck.

Removing hair from upper lip?

i have had friends and familiy do it, they completely regret it because it is painful and doesn't work...i've also heard in some cases that have been reported that the creams that you use before going to get the hair removed can kill you...also like permanent hair straightening this can damage your skin, esp. if it is sensitive. i would get it waxed, once you have had it waxed just after showers take a plucker thing that you can buy at kroger for like 5 dollars or less and pluck off any hair that grow, this way it is easy to maintain and waxing doesn't hurt that bad

Why when hair is removed it seems to grow back thicker?

I have used so many products to deal with unwanted hair, Nair, waxes, and even painful tweezing. Why does it seem that the hair is just getting thicker??? I'm thinking about getting permanent hair removal laser surgery. Has anyone had this done before? Does it hurt???

Why when hair is removed it seems to grow back thicker?

The hair seems to grow back thicker because when you shave, you cut the hair off at the middle, which is a thicker part of the hair, so when it grows back, the thick part moves up.

Why when hair is removed it seems to grow back thicker?

try hair no more it works and makes your hair slowly stop growing in 4 months its like permenetly gone go here www.hairnomore.com it makes your skin healthier!!!!!

Why when hair is removed it seems to grow back thicker?

don't know about laser removal, but i wax every 8 weeks, and my hair is growing back finer, less noticeable. because the hair folicle in the pore is being damaged, it's harder for the hair to grow back as normal.

Why when hair is removed it seems to grow back thicker?

laser surgery is use to destroy the hair production cell, so it will feel a little bit pain depend on which part you do it!

Why when hair is removed it seems to grow back thicker?

It does that because when you remove dead hair and dead particles, the new hairs come up rapidly because they have been covered for long. That is why it is so important to trim your hair so it will grow longer. Hope I could help

Why when hair is removed it seems to grow back thicker?

waxing works good for me

Botox, Restylane, Laser Hair Remova; would you say I need it for my job?

I'm 26, and I represent a company. My job is pretty much being a salesman for a big company. I'm always making calls, and going places to do presentations and offer our services.

I look up a to this really successful salesman, I want to be as good as he is.

He's 33, but he looks like a guy in his early twenties.

He tells me all of this things to do to be successful salesman.

-You need to loom good in your clothes, so you need to be in shape. He spends a lot of time at the gym.

-You always have to look alert, so he's had lipo on his eyebags, and injects restylane.

-You have to look young, so he has botox, and has had face-peels.

-You point with your fingers, they have to look perfect so he gets manicures, and has had permanent hair removal on his hands.

I've had eye-bag lipo, and the hair removal on my hands. I use moisturizers on my face. I haven't done the other stuff.

Do you think this is really necessary to be a good salesman?

Botox, Restylane, Laser Hair Remova; would you say I need it for my job?

i do think you need to look good, i was a sales person for a long time and appearance and 1st impressions are EVERYTHING ! they are going to remember you as they saw you the 1st time. i wouldnt say you need to get everything, just look good in appearance wear nice clothing, wear it right, make sure your hair is always nice and professional looking and get manicure if you use your hands! you dont have to look young, in fact most people want to be sold to an older person rather younger, they feel older has more intelligence and more respectful and not just looking to make money! good luck with the job tho!

Is there a permanent way of removal of body hair once and for all?

is it a hormonal disorder for a lady to be hairy?

Is there a permanent way of removal of body hair once and for all?

It can be. A blood test at the doctor's will be able to tell you if that's the case. Men and women have the same hormones, just in different balances, so if your producing more tetesterone than normal for a woman, it could be causing your hairiness. Heredity is another factor, as is race. These are not reversable.

Laser treatment is as far as I know the only permanent way to remove hair. Electrolisis does keep it away for a long time, but I don't think its permanent.

Is there a permanent way of removal of body hair once and for all?

Yes, you can go to a doctors office, they will have a consiltation, and it does cost a little bit of money, but it is guarantee no hair will come back... look on yahoo, and type is laser hair removal, and they will find the closest place to you... hope this helps.

Is there a permanent way of removal of body hair once and for all?

Yes.....but first you might want to get checked out by a doc to see if it's something medical like you suggested. Could be hormones, thyroid, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome just to name a few.

Is there a permanent way of removal of body hair once and for all?

Yes there is. You should go to your doctor's to ask questions and to see if it's ok and what you need to do. They do laser treatment on you which will remove the hair and won't grow back. I've heard from a lot of adults that got it done and they said it does really work so I say give it a try:]

Is there a permanent way of removal of body hair once and for all?

I agree with goldfish %26amp; if this is the case your consultant{if sympathetic of the cause} should be able to advise you of suitable treatment....laser is a sure way of removing hair though very expensive, nads wax is a product you could try the researcher%26amp;producer of this did so because her young daughter had both facial %26amp; body hair that was not only unsightly but also embarassing to the child.......i believe this to be less painful than other waxes or sugaring but that is only what i read. No harm in trying though if it was used,tried%26amp;tested on a child it should be ok!

Is there a permanent way of removal of body hair once and for all?

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. Do i have to shell out 4000 $ every 3-4 months for laser hair removal ? isn't it supposed to be

yea i think its suppose to be permanent ( =

Do i have to shell out 4000 $ every 3-4 months for laser hair removal ? isn't it supposed to be permanent ?

it is. and you overpaid like 10 times

Do i have to shell out 4000 $ every 3-4 months for laser hair removal ? isn't it supposed to be permanent ?

You are waisting your time and money girl. My girlfriend beautiful but hairy had that done a lot and always had to deal with the scabs afterwards etc. She quit going. Get nair or something like that over-the-counter. I'm really shocked that they can legally advertise that beauty treatment as "Permanent" hair removal. It's a scam!

Do i have to shell out 4000 $ every 3-4 months for laser hair removal ? isn't it supposed to be permanent ?

yes price is a bit high. Depends on the hair, normally you need 3-5 sessions until the root is fully destroyed. $4,000 is the price of 5 session laser hair removal already

Do i have to shell out 4000 $ every 3-4 months for laser hair removal ? isn't it supposed to be permanent ?

The fact that you spend that much money for laser hair removal bothers me. Exactly, how much hair are they removing?

Thinking about getting laser hair removal?

Im thinking about getting laser hair removal on my face and i was wondering if anyone has done this before, if so what was your experience like? Im light skinned and i also have sensitive skin, is that okay? Is laser hair removal permanent? About the money, do you have to pay all of it upfront or can you also make payments? My last question- does anyone know what website i can find info and also on local doctors(i live in los angeles by the way). Thanks!

Thinking about getting laser hair removal?

Yes, I have had it done on the front and back of my neck and had great results with no regrowth after 6 years. Being light skinned is a plus for you....having sensitive skin means that the "follicular" response may cause you to be a little redder after the treatment than an average person but it should all still be OK. For the price, some providers will discount their pricing if you purchase 5-6 treatments up front and they do have financing available in those circumstances. The overall price will depend on how many areas are being treated on your face. You can expect to pay between $100 and $300 per treatment for facial areas. For a website, you can go to http://www.hairremovalforum.com which I have also listed as a source. The site has alot of information about the procedure, a Forum where you can discuss questions with other people who have had treatments and a list of providers who have received good to great survey scores from existing clients. Good luck....I am very happy I had the treatments done.

Thinking about getting laser hair removal?

its expensive, it can burn your skin there must be a million of them in LA

Thinking about getting laser hair removal?

Sweetie - I tried it on my face %26amp; It didn't work. not permanent. Just a waste of time %26amp; $$$$$$$$$$$$

but when I did the regular needle electrolysis years ago - it did work %26amp; my face is now smooth like a baby's a-s-s. sure it stings - but don't be a CRYBABY!!

if I endured it then so can you -

NO ROSE WITHOUT THORNS- Honey !!!!!!

Thinking about getting laser hair removal?

havent done it but i heard its really expensive, doesnt always work or will have to be done several times to get results. i wouldn't do it!!! jus get an elctric razor it last alot longer than regular shaving and the hair grows out thinner

Thinking about getting laser hair removal?

I worked in laser clinic for 1 year %26amp; i can tell you the following

# 1 laser hair removal is pretty effective,

# 2 you will need at least 5-7 sessions.

# 3 its kinda painful too

# 4 each session will cost about $ 300 %26amp; is NOT paid by insurance but you can pay ever time you come for treatment

# 5 having a light skin is a plus as the laser will NOT burn the skin then.(dark skinned people MAY have minor redness %26amp; burn of the skin, but for white people it doesnt happen).

# 6 Results last for long time (laser is used for many conditions like hair removal, treatment of acne, treatment of superficial dilated veins..etc but it saw it was most effective in hair removal)

If you are close to NJ, i may direct to where I used to work but I dont really know any website.

Good luck with the treatment
